THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Thank you for your interest in the IHM Annual Conference and Dinner 2010 which was due to be held on the 21st and 22nd September in Oxford.

Unfortunately the IHM Executive Board has reluctantly decided not to proceed with the event.

As you will appreciate, all health authorities are now severely constrained financially, which has limited their capacity to send delegates.  At the same time, many individuals are facing extra pressures at work and are understandably distracted from thinking about conference attendance.  The consequence has been that, in keeping with many similar programmes, the level of registration has been lower than usual for this normally very successful event.  Because of this, our Board thinks it sensible to acknowledge the current pressures and to avoid the risk of an ill attended occasion.

Despite the decision on the Annual Conference, IHM has some other very worthwhile upcoming Divisional and Regional events which, being more locally oriented, are attracting much interest.  These include the events detailed below, full details of which can be found on the IHM website (www.ihm.org.uk):

•    IHM Scotland Annual Conference ‘Leading in Challenging Times’
5th & 6th October 2010, Airth Castle

•    IHM North West Region Annual Conference ‘Creating a Premier League Performance in the NHS’
14th October 2010, The Imperial Hotel, Blackpool

•    IHM East Midlands Primary Care Conference
10th November 2010, Bawtry Hall, Doncaster

Delegates at last year’s IHM Conference said:

"Very good conference with interesting speakers, some quite challenging, in an excellent venue. Stimulating and useful."

"Very inspirational - good opportunities to network."

"Learnt a lot that I can transfer to my place of work."

"Very good conference overall with appropriate focus. Lots of variation in topics."
